DREAMUSEUM
This is the second shoot of beetles on Ruby Peppa. Day time meant fluctuating light but also a more gentle light which I was struggling to achieve at night-time. I also did another shoot of beetles on my friend Aviva, (below) but she wouldn't stop talking- or perhaps I wasn't a strict enough director anyways the footage is less impressive because it looks like she's mumbling and the lighting is not very good.
these are some shots of my antler-mast for a shoot that I didn't get time to do. My plan is to shoot a stop motion of this boat sailing through the snow. I made a false floor and on my many trips to the burnt coop have collected heaps of coal to fill the vessel. I also plan to crush the coal and add it to water to leave a black smudgy trail.
Some images used as inspiration and departure points for investigation... I love the drama that all these images elude to.
the crew- just taking some time out for some Narnia... |
Here are some stills from my second mission to the weld with my son (Tiki)
We had a sleep over in the coop which was a surreal experience... as I explained in class, when we arrived to go on the 'camp out' a fallen leatherwood was blocking the track but just as we were making a plan for what to do Wolfgang Glowacki (http://www.wolfgangglowacki.com.au/) rolled up in his Ute with a chainsaw... a few minutes later, an older hiker arrived looking to trek to icktheus- a crystal cave somewhere in the Weld... needless to say it was a curious and welcome surprise on a Tuesday morning down some track in the middle of nowhere.
